I had the privilege of reviewing the first lesson in the “Time to Glow” curriculum. (Acts 2:1-41.)

First of all, I so appreciate the way the author takes a passage of Scripture and teaches from the Word. There is no fluff here. I believe The Word is a living active piece of God which, when studied has the power for life change.

Everything in this lesson ties together…. the games – the object lesson – the easy to teach Bible story – and the review and take home questions.

You always hope your kids will have a take-away from the lesson you just taught. The final questions help to foster that. Also, the group questions seek to reinforce the lesson as you listen to the insights from others in your group.

My personal take-away was that I must be ready to share about Jesus when the Lord shines His spotlight on me and says, “Share!”  I pictured myself on a stage in a play. The lights were out, but all of a sudden the spotlight is on me and it’s my turn to talk. The audience is waiting. So, am I just going to stand there and stare at the light? Or am I going to do my part?

This lesson has challenged me to be more intentional about watching for God’s spotlight and then grabbing the opportunity to share Jesus!

    Thank you!

I read through this already and I’m really excited to use it!

(Note – This user only received the first weeks lesson as part of a free trial) First and foremost I thought it was great. One thing I liked is the fact that facebook and Instagram images where given. I have started to realize more and more lately that to get parents involved in what the kids are learning social media seems to be the key. Also everything seemed very simple and practical. To me it seemed like anyone could use the material, small or big churches. I also love how it explained the dynamic of how the book of Acts came to be; it did it in such a simple way that any teacher could pick it up and understand. For me if I use any kind of material I want it to not only want it to follow the message I am trying to present but I want that message to be clear to those I am asking to potential teach the same material. That way a since of consistency is presented. This did just that, it wasn’t confusing. And it wouldn’t be confusing when if I was to pass it forward.
