Student Leader Devotion Time

Leadership / Leadership Development - Kids //

Spending time with God is kind of hard if you don’t have a daily relationship with Him. As a minister, I need to make sure that I’m feeding my spirit daily. At the same time, I need to make sure that my student leaders are doing the same too. One of the requirements that I require for my student leaders to do is to turn in a weekly devotional journal to me. It lets me know that my students are truly spending time with God.For some it’s hard to spend time with God or they don’t know how to start. What I did was, I set an easy guide for them. Here is how that guide looks like.

  1. Praise & Worship: Have them spend time in Praise & Worship for 3 to 5 minutes a day
  2. Scripture Reading: Have them read 1 chapter a day or provide them with particular scripture
  3. Pray: Pray for 5 people who you know that need God’s strength and help

I found that my student leaders have grown and learned from using these guidelines.
