Let the Children Lead

Curriculum / Leadership / Leadership Development - Kids //

A little child shall lead them.” Isaiah 11:6

There are leadership gifts inside the kids in your class.

It might be the kid that is trying to take over the class.

One thing about leaders is that they want to lead. Something inside them tells them, “You are a leader.”

I did not understand this when I first starting teaching kids. I wanted all the kids to follow me.

I was the teacher and they were the students. I wanted them to sit up and shut up – but many kids do not learn this way.

If you are smart you will get the leaders on your side, helping you to disciple the kids in your class. Instead of working against you, they can work with you, but it doesn’t just happen.

You need to be strategic about it.

One day, I was praying over the kids in my class and a saw a vision. When I say I saw a vision, what I mean is that in my heart I saw a picture of myself.

I was standing in the balcony above Kids Church.

I looked down and noticed that most of the ministry in Kids Church was being done by other kids.

Kids were leading worship, teaching object lessons, doing puppet skits and taking up the offering.

There were adults in the room, but they we mostly overseeing what was happening.

This is discipleship.

Jesus told us to, “Go therefore and make disciples.”

The word disciple means, “To teach and to train.”

Most churches do a pretty good job of teaching kids, but we fail miserably when it comes to training kids. Many churches will not allow kids to teach or lead worship until they are a certain age. This is a big mistake.

Kids want to do more than listen.

They want to lead!

You may say:

  • I don’t know how to do that.
  • “How do you teach kids to lead?”

I have some good news for you.

I have created an entire curriculum on Leadership just for kids. After teaching kids to be leaders for over 30 years, I put everything I know into one 12-week curriculum.

Debbie and I have trained hundreds of kids to be leaders and I want you to train your kids too. The truth is that the majority of kids that you train in ministry will stay in the church.

This is why teaching kids on leadership, is so important.

I have some more good news.

We have bundled the Leadership curriculum with another powerful curriculum entitled – Finding God. (Finding God teaches church kids how to have a heart for lost kids.)

If you purchase both curriculums together, before October 31, we will give you a third curriculum for Free!

In other words if you buy two, 12 week kits of Super Church 2.0, we will give you one for FREE!

  • Additionally, we will give you the digital download (for free) if you purchase the CD/DVD format, Plus Free Shipping.

Bottom line is you get some great curriculum, at a great price, and your kids learn to be leaders.
