I’m Quitting!!

Personal Development //

OK, if your reading this I got your attention! I’m not really quitting ministry but I am changing my ways! There will be some things I quit doing in 2014 because I am resolved to impact our world for Jesus and I want you to join me.! Please read on!

1 Timothy 4:13 says,

“Until I come, give your attention to public reading, exhortation, and teaching.”

As I looked back at 2013 and as I gaze forward to 2014, I was praying this morning and I felt a challenge was given to me to share with my family who serve in ministry. It really doesn’t matter which area you serve in the body.

I truly believe the days are growing more evil, and I am one who still believes the return of Jesus is coming very soon. That urgency drives me to make sure I am sharing Jesus whenever he opens a door and to plant seeds as often as I can.

So it is with this in mind, and the Scripture from 1 Timothy 4:13 buzzing in my ears, that I challenge you to join with me as we resolve to make 2014 a year of harvest and blessing for the Glory of God alone!

The word Resolve as a verb means, “To make a firm decision about.” As a noun it means, “A determination or decision; a fixed purpose.”

So here is what I RESOLVE to do in 2014!

To present Jesus and his gospel message as creatively, and as clearly, as possible. In total reliance on the Holy Spirits prompting to invite those listening to a relationship with Jesus.

To make sure I provide training and instruction to all parents and volunteers to share Jesus with the children in their care. ( I want them leading their children to Jesus!)

To not do ministry alone, but have the multiplication mindset in 2014, knowing that together we can reach more than I can do alone.

To spend significant time in prayer, study of the Word (for personal benefit).

To take care of my family, by taking care of myself. To stick to a plan of sabbath rest weekly, and to exercise daily to keep my “temple” worshiping the King for as long as he allows.

Practice these things; be committed to them, so that your progress may be evident to all. -1 Timothy 4:15

Will you RESOLVE with me to hold me accountable to these things? Will you join me?

If you will, please just make a comment below so I can pray for you and by doing so, please pray for me.

Let’s make 2014 a year of harvest and blessing!
