5 Classroom Management Tips | Training Tuesday

Five classroom management tips for your Sunday school or small group environment

  1. Communicate expectations for learning and behavior for your kids (no running in the halls, keep your hands to yourself, don’t talk when others are talking)
  2. Establish and communicate classroom procedures (a clear, communicated routine; what’s coming up next)
  3. Establish what a classroom disruption is and anticipate how you will deal with that (planning for potential and anticipated problems ahead of time)
  4. State, in a positive way, the behavior you would like to see in the students in your class
  5. Build community in your classroom (get to know them, build relationships, ask them questions, pray for them, and remember their birthdays)
