3 Simple Steps to Make a Guest Feel Welcome

Leadership / Personal Development //

Want to help new kids feel welcome when they arrive? Here’s 3 simple steps that will warm their heart and put a smile on their face.

1.  Get down on their eye level.  Even if you have to get on your knees, get down where they can see you on their level instead of having to look up.  This lets them know you want to be their friend.

2.  Use their name.  The most melodious sound to a kid’s ears is their name.  This lets them know they are important to you.

3.  Say these words – “We’ve been waiting for you.  I’m so glad you’re here.”  This lets them know they are welcome and loved.

Pass along these steps to your team.  Implement them and you’ll see lots of smiles.
